ESCC Tour 2008

The tour to Staffordshire in May was an enjoyable break from league cricket.

On the Saturday we played Warwick 4th XI in a howling gale on an all-weather pitch laid in what can only be described as a meadow.

For the Sunday fixture with Abbots Bromley the gale still blew but there was also increasingly steady rain. It was remarkable that we managed to get past thirty overs but even so we were in The Crown much too early and various kinds of mayhem ensued. However everybody made it home in one piece and there were a lot of laughs along the way.

Some post match tour photographs were taken.
